MT5 Expert Advisor VIP Grid & Martingale

Wave Rider EA MT5

A MetaTrader 5 expert advisor built for XAUUSD, using seven independent trading modules with triple-timeframe confirmation to avoid counter-trend entries. It offers a choice between single-position and recovery modes, along with news filtering and session controls. Suitable for traders seeking disciplined gold automation on H1, M30, and M15 timeframes.

Losses on this strategy have no upper bound

The vendor's own description mentions position-scaling logic that keeps a losing sequence open instead of closing it. A single losing sequence therefore has no defined worst case: a long enough move in one direction takes the account to zero. Systems like this can trade profitably for a long time before that happens, which is why an unbroken track record does not settle the question.

80% of the profit came from 37 of 77 trading days (48.1%).

Description

Why most gold EAs fail in ranging sessions

Gold is prone to sudden breakouts and long consolidation phases. A single-strategy robot may perform well during trends but give back profits when the market turns choppy. Wave Rider EA MT5 addresses this by running seven separate trading modules simultaneously, each designed for a different market condition. The idea is that at least one module remains active regardless of whether the market is trending, breaking out, pulling back, or moving on momentum.

Multi-timeframe alignment before any order

The EA uses a three-step confirmation process. First, it identifies the primary direction on the H1 chart using an EMA trend filter. Then it checks M30 and waits for an entry signal on M15. No trade is opened unless all three timeframes agree. This is intended to filter out counter-trend scalps that look attractive on a low timeframe but fail against the larger structure.

Seven strategies under one interface

The seven modules cover support and resistance breakouts, pullback detection, trend breakouts, M5 bounces, volume-based smart money analysis, momentum continuation, and impulse trading. Each strategy has its own logic and can be individually toggled. The EA monitors all of them concurrently, so idle modules do not block active ones. This design allows the EA to switch its behaviour as market conditions change during the trading day.

Recovery mode versus single-position mode

A key configuration decision is between recovery and single-position modes. Recovery mode uses a grid approach with progressive spacing, break-even calculation, trailing stop management, and a configurable lot multiplier. It is designed to manage losing positions and attempt to exit at break-even or better. Single-position mode opens only one trade at a time, with fixed stop loss and take profit, plus an optional trailing stop. No grid or recovery positions are used. This mode is often preferred for prop-firm challenges that prohibit grid or averaging techniques.

Risk and session controls

Wave Rider EA includes a built-in news filter that pauses new entries around major economic events such as CPI, FOMC, and NFP releases, as well as USD bank holidays and presidential events. Existing trades continue to be managed normally. The EA also tracks drawdown, market volatility, all-time high conditions, and session timing. If conditions become unfavourable, new entries can be suspended automatically. Traders can further restrict trading to specific daily windows, set a Friday schedule, or define strategy-specific trading hours.

Position sizing and dashboard

Position sizing supports fixed lot, automatic risk-based sizing, and custom scaling. The on-chart dashboard displays current strategy status, account performance, drawdown, risk profile, news protection status, position sizing details, and per-strategy profit and loss. This gives a trader a real-time view of what each module is doing without needing to inspect the journal.

Honest limitations

This EA is designed exclusively for XAUUSD. It is not a multi-pair solution and will not trade other symbols. The recovery mode, while configurable, can increase drawdown during prolonged adverse moves; the vendor reports a maximum historical drawdown of 33.8% on a live signal. Backtested results show a relative drawdown of 9.76%, but backtests do not account for slippage, spread widening, or execution delays. The EA does not include source code, so traders cannot modify the strategy logic. It is a MetaTrader 5 product only; the MT4 version is not available.

Frequently asked questions

Which currency pairs does Wave Rider EA trade?

It is built specifically for XAUUSD (gold). No other pairs are supported by the default configuration.

Does Wave Rider EA use martingale or grid?

It depends on the mode. Single-position mode does not use grid or recovery. Recovery mode uses an intelligent recovery grid with configurable lot multiplier, so traders who must avoid averaging should disable it.

What is the recommended account type for this EA?

The vendor suggests an ECN or RAW account to minimise spread and execution cost on gold. A minimum deposit is not specified, but the supplied live signal started with €300.95.

Is Wave Rider EA suitable for prop firm accounts?

In single-position mode it opens only one protected trade at a time, which may comply with prop firm rules that prohibit grid or recovery. Traders should verify the specific rules of their prop firm before use.

Does Wave Rider EA come with source code?

No, source code is not included. The EA is provided as a compiled executable for MetaTrader 5.

GoldTrap EA MT5

A recovery-based grid system built specifically for XAUUSD, this EA opens an initial position and then layers in additional orders if price moves against it, aiming to close the whole basket once gold retraces. The fixed session filter and configurable lot multiplier let traders tune exposure, but the martingale-style logic means drawdowns can escalate quickly when gold trends without a pullback.

Veloz Scalping Bot MT5

Gold scalping on the M1, M5 and M15 timeframes with a structured grid that caps open orders at six and uses a global trailing stop. Veloz Scalping Bot MT5 targets small intraday retracements on XAUUSD, with spread filtering and an equity drawdown kill-switch. Fixed lot sizing keeps exposure predictable, but the averaging logic means losses can compound if the cycle runs fully against you.
